many the
MILES.
waldgrave was built waaaay back in the late 1800s. it was a grand and expensive boarding school for boys. parents always wanted their child to get into waldgrave, but it didn't accept just anyone. you had to have top-notch grades and of course, enough money. it remained a respected establishment until september 20th 1967, when one of the kitchen staff caused a raging fire which swept throughout the entire building during the night.
eleven students and two teachers were killed in the blaze, and parents were soon finding new schools for their precious children. the school was almost burnt beyond repair, and the headmaster invested the entire budget in getting it re-built. unfortunately, by the time the school was ready to be used, the headmaster had died, and the students had gone to learn elsewhere.
the school was left for 20 years, before the council transformed it into a school to take care of troublesome teenagers. accepting students 14-18, the school has never been the same. there are rumours that the eleven boys that were killed in the fire still choose to roam the school.
waldgrave is surrounded by miles of woodland. very few people have ever tried to escape, and they haven't ever been seen again. cameras are set up on nearly every corner of the school, and you're surveyed 24/7 to make sure that you don't break the rules. of course, not all of the cameras work. in fact, not much of the electrical equiptment works here either. it's a bit of a fire hazard ...
